Nobody has eyelashes like the Czechs, and nobody applies bronzer like the Aussies...but nobody -- nobody -- parties like Singaporeans.

I miss Singapore. I miss Veuve Clicquot nights. I miss cheap taxis. I miss drunkenly stumbling down the road in a short skirt at 4am and not giving a damn who sees, cos who cares? I miss new, new, new. I miss camerawhoring with randoms. I miss Mimo, Timbre, Loof, 2am.

I know it will NEVER be the same as it was. Without -- well, it's a chapter of my life to leave behind for a while.
How time, and innocence, flies.

Instead I'm stuck at a desk trying to satisfy my cravings for vapid materialism with gossip girl and the scandalous happenings of SG's bloggerati.

Life is all busybusybusy at the moment. Paid employment and quality time with friends is great, but I hardly have time to sleep, let alone get heartbroken or blog.

It's time, anyway... This is a travel blog and - unfortunately - I won't be leaving the country for a while. So this blog won't be going anywhere until I do.

I do have another one, completely unrelated, so if you do know me I can tell you where it is.

Until December...

...and just because I can, a toast to friends. That there are some people you can not see for months or years, and despite not being in each others lives all that time you can still connect. And in the space of just a few minutes you can once again share the most intimate details of your life and feel as if you never left. Here's to sharing food (now that we can cook), drink (and lots of it) and laughter. Cheers to good times and good company.
